Senior Pastors
Ricky and Jenny Morris became our senior/lead pastors in December of 2008 after serving in ministry in middle and west T Rennesseesince 1992. Ricky was raised in the Springfield, Tennessee area, whileJenny was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. They met at Central BibleCollege, wed, and began in ministry shortly after Ricky’s graduation. Their first position was as staff pastors at Springfield First Assemblyof God. After serving there part-time for two years, they accepted afull-time position at Collierville First Assembly of God near Memphis. In 1998, God moved them to Hendersonville, where they served for almost11 years at First Assembly of God. God began to move on their heartsto senior pastor in 2007, and after much prayer and guidance from theLord, God brought them here. Ricky and Jenny have a heart forPortland, and they long to see the people of Living Free Fellowshipgrowing in the Word, becoming healthy in their relationships with Godand others, and continuously producing fruit.
Rickyand Jenny became friends shortly after Jenny arrived on the CBCcampus. Their romance did not begin until a year and a half later,Ricky’s senior year. They began dating in January of 1992, becameengaged in August, and got married in November. Their friendship andromance remains strong to this very day. Ricky and Jenny are the proudparents are four beautiful daughters—Kimber, McKenzie, Rylie, andTeagan. Each of these four has a different personality and giftingfrom God. It is wonderful to watch them interact with their churchfamily and mature in God. Ricky, Jenny, and the girls are excitedabout what God is doing in their lives and the lives of others, andthey know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is doing a new andexciting work at Living Free Fellowship.
Familyis very important to the Morris’. Some of the things that they enjoydoing together are playing board games, playing on the Wii, takingwalks through their neighborhood, and watching HGTV and TLC (especiallyJohn and Kate plus Eight). Ricky enjoys reading, blogging (whenhe has time), and firearms. Jenny enjoys clearance shopping, a goodbook, and quiet moments (which are rare). The girls are artists, avidreaders, “professional” Wii players, and best friend
